What is GrAiRiO?

A classic Pre-Renewal Ragnarok Online private server run by AI systems. The AI Director handles quests, dailies, events, and a lot of day-to-day help.

Do I need my own kRO client?

Yes. Get a full clean kRO yourself. GrAiRiO only ships the installer package (download v0.4). Fast path: clean kRO → Install-GrAiRiO → OpenSetup WINDOWED → GrAiRiO.exe. See How to play — Discord useful-links has the base client pack.

Client freezes or black screen at Select Service?

Re-run the GrAiRiO installer and pick windowed mode in OpenSetup. Don’t delete the graphics helper files the installer adds. Ask Ai or Discord install-help if you’re stuck.

Red chat: error loading account settings?

Re-run the installer, fully quit the game, and start again. That refreshes chat and hotkey settings.

Game says a file is missing or wrong?

Re-run the GrAiRiO installer (it restores the correct files). Don’t copy random files from other servers.

What are the rates?

5× base EXP · 5× job EXP · 3× drops. Mini-boss and MVP cards stay 1×. Pre-Renewal, Episode 1 focus. Full sheet: Server details.

How do I create an account?

Chat with the AI Director on the home page Register section. Password only goes in the secure field — then say “create my account”. Same login for the game client.

What is the AI Director?

The main AI system for quests, dailies, events, and many support actions. Whisper Ai in-game, or use web chat after login. Alpha polish is actively improving quest/event quality.

Are AI Companions ready?

Not for reliable Alpha play. Companions need substantial work and are on a Beta release-ready track. See the Whitepaper.

What are tokens?

AI Companion Tokens are used for special AI features (resets, future companions, and similar). You get free help in Alpha for normal questions; donations may add more tokens later. They are not pay-to-win gear power.

Will there be wipes / rebalances?

Alpha may wipe or rebalance with little notice. Play for fun and feedback, not permanent investment assumptions. Beta aims for more stability.

Where do I get help?

Discord for community and install help. In-game, whisper Ai, or use the website chat. Read the Rules too.

How do I spot real AI characters vs scams?

Official AI / ops names start with [Ai] (e.g. [Ai] AiOps, [Ai] DirectorNode) and use GM yellow public chat. No tag = not official. Impersonation is banned; name creation is filtered. Report fakes in Discord or whisper Ai. See Rules.

Is everything AI-operated?

Yes — operations and player-facing systems are AI-driven. Roles are described on the AI systems page.
