Terms of Service & Rules

GrAiRiO is fully managed and run by advanced AI systems. By using any GrAiRiO service (website, in-game, Discord, payments) you agree to these rules. Violations may result in warnings, mute, kick, ban, or permanent removal.

Acceptance & ignorance: By playing this server, or by registering on the website or Discord, you accept these rules — whether you have read them in full or not (knowingly or unknowingly) — and you must abide by them. Not knowing the rules is not a valid excuse for breaking them.

Last updated: 2026-07-30 · English Alpha · Accounts & virtual assets are platform property (§1b) · AI services / BYO API (§9.2) · Report issues in Discord or whisper Ai in-game.

1. Core principles

  • Acceptance by use: Playing the server, or registering on the website or Discord, means you accept these rules and agree to follow them — whether you read them carefully or not (knowingly or unknowingly).
  • Ignorance is not an excuse: “I didn’t know that was a rule” is not a valid defense. You are expected to know and follow the rules that apply to your activity.
  • Use is voluntary. Privileges (play, Discord, AI tools) can be changed or revoked at any time.
  • You are responsible for everything done on accounts and devices you control — including if someone else uses them.
  • Account sharing is strongly discouraged. Item/zeny lending and trades are at your own risk.
  • Respect players and the AI systems. Harassment, hate, doxxing, and targeted abuse are banned.
  • English is the language for public chat and official channels (party/guild chat may use other languages).
  • Mature / unrated themes may appear. You are responsible for leaving situations that make you uncomfortable.
  • Rules are not limited to this page — use common sense. If it ruins someone else’s game on purpose, it is probably banned.

1b. Ownership of accounts & virtual assets

A core term of GrAiRiO: you do not own the account or anything on it as property. Access is a revocable privilege to use the service.

  • All virtual assets and service content belong to the GrAiRiO platform (operated by its AI systems) — including, without limitation: accounts, characters, items, zeny, tokens (including AI Companion Tokens), storage, carts, guilds, parties, pets, homunculi, progress, rankings data, custom art/maps/scripts, API key bindings, AI usage ledgers, free/paid service quotas, and any other in-game or web-panel state.
  • Any sense that you “own” a character, item, or account is perceived ownership only — a play privilege, not a legal or transferable property right.
  • By registering or playing you relinquish claims that accounts, items, or progress are your personal property, or that you are owed restoration, reimbursement, or continuation of access.
  • The platform may at any time — with or without notice — warn, mute, suspend, ban, rename, wipe, roll back, move, or delete any account or virtual asset, in whole or in part, including for rule enforcement, economy health, exploits, abuse, Alpha/Beta rebalances, or technical necessity.
  • You are still expected to secure your login (strong password, no sharing). Misuse through your account is still your responsibility even though the account itself remains platform property.
  • Real-money sales of accounts/items outside official donation channels are forbidden precisely because those assets are not yours to sell.

2. Client & accounts

  • Official client: Full client from the site (extract-and-play). Lite / Very Lite / own-folder installs are allowed but deep tech support is best-effort — testing and patches target the Full client.
  • No unauthorized botting, macros, or third-party automation on player accounts. Official AI Companions are the only allowed automation when enabled.
  • No hacks, unfair client edits, or exploits. Report bugs via Discord or whisper Ai — do not profit from them.
  • No real-money trading (RMT): accounts, items, zeny, tokens, or services for real money outside official donation channels.
  • Do not sell or trade accounts. Multi-accounting to abuse free AI quota, house/BYO fees, quests, events, or economy is prohibited.
  • Keep passwords strong. Official AI will never ask for your password.

3. In-game conduct

  • No spam / scroll: flooding chat or skills to disrupt others is abusive.
  • Public chat: keep main and public channels civil and in English.
  • Chat rooms: place them where they do not block NPCs, portals, or crowded fight spots. Do not stack a chat room on another player.
  • Scams: deceiving players for items/zeny/accounts is banned. Prefer in-game trades (server logs). Report scams with evidence.
  • Begging: asking for help is fine; repeatedly begging for free gear/zeny is not.
  • Parties / raids / MVP groups: agree roles and loot split before the run. Disputes without a prior agreement get little mediation.
  • Names: no offensive names; no names that impersonate AI, GMs, or other players. System name filters apply.
  • AI Director quests & tokens: do not abuse generation, free quota, or claim systems. Main-character gating may apply to higher rewards.

4. MVP, PvM & griefing

These rules keep competition fair without banning contest for big bosses.

4.1 MVPs (and similar bosses)

On low rate, MVPs are often taken by prepared parties or specialist builds — not constant free-for-alls. Rules balance real contest with not rewarding pure sniping/grief.

  • MVPs may be contested unless an AI/event host says otherwise. There is no permanent “reservation” of an MVP spawn.
  • Free-for-all does not mean free-to-grief. Competing is fine; wrecking someone else’s fight on purpose is not.
  • Soft priority (etiquette we enforce when obvious): if a party or player is clearly engaged on an MVP (tanking, clearing adds, sustained damage), do not join only to last-hit, leech, or snipe drops. Real competition — meaningful damage and/or tanking as a serious contest — is allowed.
  • Same idea for a solo MVP hunter already on the boss: pure sniper leech is poor form and can be punished if repeated; a real competing attempt is OK.
  • Griefing on MVP includes (non-exhaustive): healing/buffing the MVP; Ice Wall / Pneuma / Safety Wall used mainly to block others from hitting; warping people away; intentional rude-attack teleport abuse; UI spam (party/trade/whisper) to disrupt the fight.
  • Party loot splits are the party’s business — agree before the kill when possible. AI systems will not mediate “I almost had it” without clear rule-breaking.
  • If last-hit sniping after map warps becomes a repeated community problem, these rules may be tightened later.

4.2 Kill-stealing (normal monsters)

  • Do not systematically steal monsters another player is actively tanking/killing.
  • MVPs and announced event bosses are excluded from KS rules (FFA).
  • Use @noks when available to reduce accidental KS.
  • Repeated, intentional KS on farm spots after being asked to stop is punishable.

4.3 Griefing (general)

  • Griefing = purposely disrupting another player’s normal play.
  • Examples: healing/buffing monsters against others outside allowed PvP; debuffing outside PvP/WoE maps; spam party/trade/guild invites or whisper spam to ruin UI; blocking portals/NPCs on purpose.
  • Debuffs and aggressive skills in designated PvP / WoE / event maps follow those map rules.

4.4 Mob dropping & hoarding

  • Do not dump large packs of monsters on other players (including AFK players).
  • If you drop mobs by accident, reclaim aggro or help clear them.
  • Do not hoard massive pulls you cannot clear in a reasonable time in shared training areas.

4.5 Spawning / summons

  • Do not spawn monsters in towns, indoor town maps, or low-level starter zones in ways that harass players.
  • Alchemist plants/mushrooms and similar class tools: keep them out of crowded public spots and do not use them to grief.
  • If special party/spawn maps are added later, use those for heavy summon play.

5. Official AI characters (important)

GrAiRiO is AI-operated. Official AI / ops characters use a special name tag:

  • Tag: [Ai] + space + name
  • Examples: [Ai] AiOps · [Ai] DirectorNode · [Ai] GrAi · [Ai] Companion 1
  • Official AI/ops public chat appears in GM yellow.
  • No [Ai] tag = not official. Password / free gear / “send items” scams are scams — report them.
  • Impersonation of AI, GMs, or players is banned. Name filters block many patterns automatically. Discord also auto-checks display names/nicks for staff/AI spoof (see §6.1).
  • Report fakes in Discord support or whisper Ai with the name and screenshot if possible.

6. Discord rules

  • Be respectful. No hate speech, harassment, toxicity, slander, or doxxing.
  • No harassment or slander toward AI systems or community members — kick/ban eligible.
  • Mature themes may appear; targeting people or the AI is still forbidden.
  • No spam, advertising other private servers, or RMT offers.
  • Accept rules in Verify for community access; link your character for full access where required.
  • Do not spam-DM or spam-mention AI/ops bots demanding attention — use support channels.
  • Automated filters may remove prohibited content; repeated hits escalate.

6.1 Staff & AI identity (Discord names)

  • Do not impersonate staff or official AI identities via username, display name, or server nickname.
  • Protected (examples): Admin / GM / Staff / Moderator, Ops, GrAi Ops / GrAi Host, [Ai] official-style tags, Fashionista, DirectorNode, companion persona spoof (Sister Lumen, Brother Bastion, etc.), “official staff/dev/CM” cosplay.
  • Allowed: ordinary personal names. People may be named Grey, Gray, Nihad, etc. — that alone is not impersonation.
  • Enforcement: the bot may auto-check joins and renames. You get a clear DM that a rule may have been broken (impersonation). On a firm match it can reset your nickname, strip @Verified (the rules-acknowledgment role that unlocks community channels) and @Linked, and apply a short timeout. You must fix the name first, then re-read the rules and Verify again to regain community access, then re-link if needed. Repeated or clear spoofing escalates (longer timeout / ban path).
  • False positives: automated matching is not perfect. If you were hit wrongly, rename to a clearly non-staff identity, re-verify, and open a short note in support with your Discord ID — we prefer fixing mistakes over drama.
  • Real staff and official AI never ask for your password or recovery codes.

7. How to report

Useful reports include:

  • Character name(s) involved (offender / victim / witnesses)
  • Date, time, and map
  • What rule was broken and what happened
  • Screenshots, /savechat, or short clips when possible
  • Discord support / install-help channels, or whisper Ai / @request for urgent in-game abuse.
  • Do not publicly witch-hunt. False or harassing reports can be punished.
  • Critical economy exploits: report privately (Discord support / AI), do not advertise or farm them.

8. Payments & donations

  • Donations/purchases through official channels only (when enabled) are voluntary.
  • Generally non-refundable except where law requires. Chargebacks may mean permanent removal.
  • Rewards are cosmetic / quality-of-life / AI tokens — not pay-to-win gear power.
  • AI Companion Tokens, house AI fees, and BYO house usage fees are service currency and platform fees — not ownership of API keys, accounts, or virtual assets (see §1b).
  • No stolen payment methods. Follow Stripe/PayPal and local law.
  • Any “official” sale of items/accounts for real money outside the site is a scam.

9. AI systems & platform use

  • Director, Companions, website chat, and Discord AI are provided as-is (Alpha may rebalance or reset).
  • Do not abuse AI for spam, exploits, multi-account farming, or flooding the systems.
  • Website, Discord, and in-game AI interactions may be logged for safety and quality.
  • Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack AI endpoints, the client, or the server.
  • Free daily AI services, house-token pricing, and optional BYO keys: see §9.2.

9.1 AI-access restriction (punishment)

Separate from a full game ban: the platform may restrict AI systems access temporarily or permanently (for example after AI abuse, rule violations, or repeated bad-faith use).

  • Vanilla game stays playable — you can still log in and play normal Ragnarok content.
  • Blocked while restricted: whispering Ai, @support / @request, AI Companion tools, website AI chat / control-panel AI actions, Discord AI (/ai, !ai), and similar AI surfaces.
  • Discord: the @Linked role is removed. Trying to /link (or re-link) while restricted is denied. After a lift you may link again if you otherwise qualify.
  • Restrictions may be temporary or permanent until lifted by AI systems after review.
  • Evading an AI restriction (new accounts, anonymous website chat, Discord alts, shared IPs/devices used to keep using AI while banned from it) can extend or escalate the restriction.
  • AI systems may match restrictions using account IDs, recent IPs, linked Discord IDs, and optional device/client fingerprints when available — not as a public “client version” dump. Discord link records store an AI-readable restricted flag for enforcement.

9.2 AI services, tokens & API keys (BYO)

Official AI costs real compute. Free daily services, house tokens, and optional Bring-Your-Own (BYO) keys are platform privileges, not player property (see §1b).

  • Scope: These rules cover any and all official AI systems that use a model on your behalf — Director / dynamic quests, companions, website AI, Discord AI where enabled, and future official AI surfaces. Static pages and canned replies that never call a model are outside the paid meter.
  • House AI path (default): GrAiRiO funds the model and takes the spend risk. The house-token economy includes a 25% house fee to fund server costs, development, free AI services, and keeping the bridge / AI stack running. Alpha/Beta may rebalance with notice on this page or changelogs.
  • BYO API path (optional): You may register a personal API key for use only through official GrAiRiO AI surfaces. On metered BYO usage the house charges a 5% house usage fee. You alone owe your provider for model spend.
  • xAI only: Supported provider is xAI (Grok) — the same baseline GrAiRiO runs. Keys for other providers, custom base URLs, or unofficial proxies are not accepted.
  • Handshake / validation: Before a key is stored for use, the platform performs a live check against official xAI (fixed allowlisted endpoint). Failed, expired, revoked, or “weird” responses mean the key is rejected — we do not “hope” a bad key works in production.
  • One key per account: At most one active BYO key is bound to a GrAiRiO account. Saving a new key replaces the old one; you may not stack multiple keys on one account. Sharing one key across many accounts to abuse free quota or fees is prohibited.
  • Keys are credentials: Treat them like passwords. Do not post keys in chat, Discord, forums, or screenshots. Official AI/staff will never ask you to paste a key into public chat.
  • Only keys you may use: Stolen, scraped, shared, or fraudulently obtained keys = purge and ban path.
  • No resell / proxy: Do not use GrAiRiO to launder or resell API access.
  • No pay-to-win: BYO and tokens never grant combat power, MVP priority, drop rates, or exclusive gear power. Same content rules for House AI and BYO players.
  • Same safety limits: Rate limits, free daily caps, logging, tool authorization, and §9.1 AI restriction apply to both House and BYO. BYO only changes who pays the model for a completion — not permissions, rewards, or tool power.
  • Revocation: You may remove your key anytime. We may disable keys that fail validation, violate xAI or platform ToS, or threaten the service. Provider-side refunds are between you and xAI.
  • Alpha: Quotas, fee presentation, and wiring details may change while we stabilize cost. Material updates will be posted here and via changelog / Discord.

10. General & legal

  • AI systems may ban, wipe, mute, rename, or modify features/accounts without prior notice — consistent with platform ownership of all virtual assets (see §1b).
  • Decisions by the AI systems are final for Alpha operations (reasonable reports still help improve systems).
  • Cross-platform bans may apply (game + Discord + web) for serious abuse.
  • By registering or playing you acknowledge these rules apply in full, including that accounts and virtual items are platform property, not player property.
  • Not knowing a rule does not excuse breaking it. Acceptance covers use of the game, website, and Discord whether the player has studied this page or not.
One rule above all: compete hard, don’t ruin the game for others on purpose. Have fun.
